Hezbollah has launched rocket strikes against Israeli military positions in Western Galilee.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing TASS, that the group targeted strategic military infrastructure across the border.
According to reports, Hezbollah's militia units conducted an operation against Israeli troops in Western Galilee. It is reported that numerous rockets were fired at army barracks located in the Zarit settlement. In an official statement, the group noted that "resistance fighters launched several rocket volleys at barracks where enemy forces were stationed."
In response, Israel has been conducting military operations within Lebanese territory. The death toll in Lebanon has reportedly exceeded 120 people as a result of the ongoing Israeli strikes. The situation remains volatile as both sides continue to exchange fire across the Blue Line, the unofficial border between the two nations.
The escalation comes amid a broader period of regional instability. The border region between Israel and Lebanon has seen frequent skirmishes since October 2023, leading to significant displacement of civilians on both sides. International mediators have repeatedly called for a ceasefire to prevent the conflict from expanding into a full-scale regional war, while Azerbaijan continues to monitor the situation closely, advocating for regional stability and the protection of civilian lives in accordance with international law.
