The Lebanese Hezbollah group has announced a massive strike on a concentration of Israeli military personnel. The operation, which took place during the overnight hours, targeted the newly established Nimr al-Jamal position of the Israeli army.
According to a statement released on the movement's Telegram channel and reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the attack was carried out using numerous strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The organization confirmed that the targets were hit with precision. Group representatives emphasized that this action was taken in response to violations of the ceasefire regime, as well as ongoing attacks on civilians and the destruction of homes in southern Lebanon.
Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have remained high despite international efforts to maintain a cessation of hostilities. Hezbollah had previously warned on April 17 that it would take severe measures against Israel if ceasefire violations continued. The region has seen frequent exchanges of fire since the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, leading to significant displacement of populations on both sides of the border and increasing concerns over a wider regional escalation. International mediators continue to call for restraint to prevent the situation from developing into a full-scale war.
