The goalkeeper of the Italian club Juventus, Mattia Perin, is preparing to leave the team after the conclusion of the current season. The 33-year-old player has reportedly decided to move on in search of more consistent first-team opportunities.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing insider Nicolo Schira, reports that the Italian footballer is dissatisfied with his current status as a backup. He desires to feature on the pitch regularly and has consequently decided to depart from the Turin representative during the summer transfer window. In the current season, Perin has appeared in 13 matches for Juventus, conceding 16 goals and managing to keep four clean sheets. His existing contract with the club is scheduled to expire in mid-2025.
Perin, whose market value is estimated at 2 million euros by the Transfermarkt portal, originally joined Juventus in 2018 from Genoa. Throughout his tenure in Turin, he has been recognized as a highly capable deputy, often stepping in during cup competitions and injury spells. Juventus, one of the most decorated clubs in Italian football history, is expected to look for a replacement to maintain depth in their goalkeeping department as they continue to compete at the highest levels of Serie A and European football.
