Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a high-ranking representative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided this information to the Kyodo news agency.
The MFA official noted that although Japan did not participate in the organization's founding ceremony, it has been decided to conduct a thorough investigation into Tokyo's future steps, including the issue of membership in the council.
The founding ceremony of the "Peace Council" took place on January 22 within the framework of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, with the participation of US President Donald Trump. The initiative is viewed as a strategic platform aimed at addressing global security challenges and fostering international cooperation under the leadership of the United States.
The World Economic Forum in Davos, where the council was inaugurated, is an annual gathering of global political and business leaders. The inclusion of major economies like Japan in such initiatives is considered vital for the council's influence on international diplomacy and economic stability.
