The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed responsibility on Sunday for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during a targeted military operation.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the death in an official statement. According to the report, the Supreme Leader was the primary target of a large-scale operation conducted by the Israeli Air Force, based on detailed intelligence data.
"The strike was carried out on the central command building in Tehran at the moment when Khamenei and other high-ranking officials were present at the location," the statement read. Iranian authorities officially confirmed the death of Khamenei overnight into Sunday.
