Israeli media reports that the country is facing a wave of international isolation due to ongoing violence in the occupied West Bank and the seizure of Palestinian territories.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this information was published by the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth".

According to the report, European nations and international boycott groups are imposing sanctions, travel bans, and investment restrictions on Israeli ministers, individuals involved in illegal settlement activities, and associated entities, citing violence and land seizures in the occupied territories.

The newspaper notes that international sanctions targeting Israeli government officials and specific institutions have intensified amid growing pressure from various countries and organizations supporting the "Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions" (BDS) movement.

The report indicates that boycott campaigns have gained significant momentum following the military operations in the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023 and have drawn widespread international criticism.

In this context, France has extended its entry ban to include Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, following a similar measure previously taken against far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Paris justified these actions by citing the politicians' support for the annexation of the occupied West Bank, new settlement policies, and initiatives that undermine the Palestinian administration.

French President Emmanuel Macron's special envoy for Lebanon, Jean-Yves Le Drian, stated that Smotrich's policies are incompatible with the two-state solution principle supported by the vast majority of the international community.

The newspaper further emphasized that the activities of the BDS movement continue to negatively impact Israel's international standing.
