The number of injured individuals in Israel has reached 6,594 amid ongoing joint military operations launched by US President Donald Trump and Israel against Iran.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the country's Ministry of Health released the official figures via social media. According to the Ministry, 125 people are currently receiving treatment in Israeli hospitals, with 16 patients reported to be in critical condition. In the last 24 hours alone, an additional 148 people have been injured across the country.
The military escalation began on February 28, when US President Donald Trump and Israeli forces initiated strikes against Iran. The operations resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials. In retaliation, Iran has launched strikes against Israel, as well as targets in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus, where military bases of the US and its allies are located.
The current conflict represents a significant escalation in regional tensions, drawing in multiple Middle Eastern nations and international powers. This confrontation follows years of proxy warfare and diplomatic friction regarding Iran's nuclear program and regional influence. The involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration marks a decisive shift in the geopolitical landscape, leading to heightened security measures across the Persian Gulf and Eastern Mediterranean regions.
