Israel Defense Forces strike Hezbollah financial centers
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a series of precision airstrikes against the Al-Qard al-Hassan association, a structure identified as the primary financial artery for the Hezbollah organization. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the military's press service, Israeli forces have completed a new wave of attacks targeting the group's infrastructure.
Official reports indicate that approximately 30 facilities belonging to Al-Qard al-Hassan were targeted and neutralized over the past week. "Under the direction of military intelligence, Air Force fighter jets completed another wave of strikes yesterday on the organization's assets and cash storage locations used to fund Hezbollah's activities," the official statement read. It was further noted that these clandestine funds were directly allocated for weapons procurement, production equipment, and the payment of salaries to militants involved in radical operations.
The IDF emphasized that while Lebanese residents have endured a deep economic and humanitarian crisis for years, Hezbollah has exploited this situation for its own gain. Military officials stated that the organization deliberately exacerbates the plight of the population to increase dependency and expand its military influence. "Overall, Hezbollah's economic activities, as well as the operations of the Al-Qard al-Hassan association branches, pose a direct threat to Israeli citizens," the final statement concluded.
The Al-Qard al-Hassan association, while officially registered as a non-profit charity providing interest-free loans in Lebanon, has long been sanctioned by the United States and identified by international intelligence agencies as a front for Hezbollah's banking operations. By operating outside the formal Lebanese financial system, the entity allows the group to bypass international sanctions and move vast sums of capital to sustain its regional military presence and domestic political influence.
