Following a fire that broke out at an ammunition depot in the Goranboy district during the night, local authorities have confirmed that no residential properties have sustained damage. The situation remains under close observation by emergency response teams.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Seymur Nazarov, the First Deputy Head of the Goranboy District Executive Authority and Chairman of the District Emergency Situations Commission, provided the update to journalists. Nazarov stated that while the fire is currently ongoing, there is no threat to the safety of the local civilian population.
"Certain explosion sounds are still being heard from the site," Nazarov noted, adding that further updates will be provided to the public as the situation develops. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan is actively managing the incident, and standard safety protocols are being enforced in the surrounding areas to ensure public security.
