A new draft law on "Employers and Entrepreneurs Associations" is set to be developed in Azerbaijan, marking a significant step in the country's legislative agenda regarding labor and business regulation.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this initiative is outlined in the Action Plan for the implementation of the Employment Strategy for 2026-2030, which was approved by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

The document specifies that the process will involve a comprehensive study of international best practices in regulating the activities of entrepreneurs' associations, followed by the drafting of concrete proposals. Based on these findings, the new legislation will be prepared, coordinated with relevant stakeholders, and submitted for formal review.

The Ministry of Economy has been designated as the primary executive body responsible for drafting the legislation, with the implementation period set for 2026-2030. This initiative is part of broader efforts by the Azerbaijani government to modernize the business climate, enhance labor market efficiency, and foster stronger cooperation between the state and private sector entities.
