Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has been injured during recent military operations, according to official sources.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic has released an official statement regarding the leader's condition. The ministry noted that Mojtaba Khamenei is currently in stable condition and is feeling well. The injuries were sustained during the military operations conducted by US and Israeli forces against Iran on February 28.
The military escalation began on February 28 when US President Donald Trump and Israeli leadership authorized strikes against Iranian targets. These operations resulted in the death of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials. Following these events, Iran launched retaliatory strikes against targets in Israel, as well as locations in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus, where US and allied military bases are situated.
The current situation marks a significant escalation in regional tensions, drawing international attention to the stability of the Middle East. Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ali Khamenei, has long been considered a powerful figure within Iran's internal security and political apparatus. His transition to the role of Supreme Leader comes at a critical juncture for the Islamic Republic as it navigates direct military confrontation with Western powers and regional adversaries.
