Iranian military forces have launched strikes against NATO's "Victoria" military base located near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq. The operation resulted in significant damage to the facility's infrastructure and equipment.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). According to official reports, a US-owned "Palm Jet" aircraft stationed at the base was hit during the attack, and the runway sustained serious damage. The strike against the NATO base was reportedly carried out using three kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

This escalation follows a recent report by "The Guardian" stating that an Iranian missile struck a base housing Italian military personnel, rendering the facility unusable. The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces had previously issued a stern warning that the military bases of any country providing assistance to Israel would be considered potential targets for Tehran. Currently, there are unconfirmed claims regarding Iranian strikes on military facilities in Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain.

The targeting of international military installations in Iraq comes amid heightened regional tensions involving US President Donald Trump's administration and Middle Eastern security dynamics. NATO's presence in Iraq is primarily focused on the "NATO Mission Iraq" (NMI), a non-combat advisory and capacity-building mission launched in 2018 to assist local forces in preventing the resurgence of extremist groups and stabilizing the region. The Victoria base has long served as a critical hub for international coalition logistics and personnel transport in the Iraqi capital.
