The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esmaeil Baghaei, has stated that the aggression carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran is characterized by systematic terrorist activities.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Iranian state television, that the spokesperson emphasized the unconventional nature of the ongoing regional tensions. Baghaei asserted that the actions taken by Washington and Tel Aviv transcend traditional warfare, blending military operations with targeted assassinations.
“This is not a normal or traditional war. It is a combination of war and terrorist activity. They have targeted our leaders, our commanders, and even individuals who do not hold official positions. This is an unjust war forced upon the Iranian people. Therefore, we have no choice but to resist with determination,” the statement noted.
The escalation of rhetoric comes amid heightened geopolitical instability in the Middle East. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a policy of maximum pressure and strategic deterrence regarding Tehran's regional influence.
