Iran has launched a series of missile strikes against Israel, a move officially confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as regional hostilities reach a critical point.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the IDF press service issued a statement confirming the detection of missiles launched from Iran toward Israeli territory. Currently, air defense systems are working intensively to intercept and neutralize the incoming projectiles in mid-air.

As part of emergency security measures, urgent alerts have been sent to the mobile phones of residents in relevant districts, with authorities demanding that the population move to secure shelters immediately. The escalation follows a period of intense military activity in the region. Notably, US President Donald Trump and Israel initiated military operations against Iran on February 28. These operations resulted in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials.

In immediate retaliation for these events, Iran has begun striking strategic targets not only within Israel but also across locations housing US and allied military bases, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.

The current confrontation represents a significant escalation in the long-standing geopolitical rivalry between Tehran and the US-Israeli alliance. Such direct military engagements often lead to broader regional instability, impacting global energy markets and international security corridors. International observers remain focused on the potential for further escalation as air defense units across the Middle East remain on high alert.
