Iran is ready to support the resolution of the conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these remarks were made by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

"Afghanistan and Pakistan should resolve existing differences within the framework of good neighborly relations and through dialogue. Iran is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to facilitate dialogue between the two countries and to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation," he stated.

The statement comes after Pakistan and Afghanistan reported carrying out mutual strikes against each other. Islamabad announced that it had neutralized 13 Taliban militants during its operations. Conversely, authorities in Afghanistan claimed that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the clashes.

Islamabad maintains that Kabul provides safe haven to militants who carry out attacks within Pakistan. The Taliban, which is currently in power in Afghanistan, rejects these accusations, asserting that Pakistan's security is its own internal matter.

The escalation of tensions between the two neighbors has raised concerns regarding regional stability. Historically, the border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been a flashpoint for security issues, often involving disputes over the Durand Line and cross-border militant movements. Iran, sharing borders with both nations, seeks to play a stabilizing role to prevent further spillover of the conflict, which could impact regional trade and security dynamics.
