The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have launched missile and drone strikes against US military bases located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from the IRNA news agency, Iranian military forces confirmed the operation.
Official reports indicate that the Ahmed Al-Jaber base in Kuwait, which hosts US forces, was targeted. The strikes reportedly hit satellite communication systems, equipment depots, and airfields housing fighter jets. Significant damage to the base's communication infrastructure and runways has been reported.
Furthermore, strikes were conducted against the Al-Minhad base in the UAE, which serves as a key logistical support hub for US troops in the region.
Iranian military officials stated that the attacks were a retaliatory measure against what they termed US "terrorist forces." A statement from the Iranian Armed Forces warned that any future threats from the US would be met with even harsher and more destructive responses. Tehran has declared that these operations will continue until the "aggressor is punished."
This escalation occurs amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East, a region characterized by complex geopolitical rivalries and strategic military posturing. US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized that Washington remains prepared to conduct further strikes against Iranian targets if deemed necessary to protect US interests and personnel in the region.
