Ten individuals accused of human trafficking are currently being sought internationally through Interpol channels, according to the annual report of the National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the document was presented during a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) committees on Human Rights and Legal Policy and State Building. According to the report, seven of the suspects are believed to be hiding in Turkey, while the remaining three are suspected to be in Pakistan, the Russian Federation, and the United Arab Emirates.

Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its legal framework and international cooperation to combat transnational organized crime. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) works closely with international law enforcement agencies to track individuals involved in human exploitation. This ongoing search is part of Azerbaijan's commitment to the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.
