Centralized graduation exams will be held for the first time this year in art schools and centers operating under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Culture informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the new mechanism involves the application of a unified assessment approach across all relevant educational institutions in Azerbaijan. The primary objective is to measure students' knowledge and skills based on identical criteria, increase the objectivity of results, and enable a comparative analysis of performance indicators across various schools. Approximately 8,600 students are expected to participate in the centralized exams, which will be organized to account for the specific characteristics of different artistic specialties, testing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a transparent manner.
This initiative serves to raise quality standards in arts education and establish a more modern and effective assessment framework. Beyond determining graduation results, the data collected will play a crucial role in analyzing the quality of instruction, evaluating the current state of specialized education, and identifying future development directions. Azerbaijan continues to prioritize the modernization of its cultural infrastructure and educational systems to foster a new generation of talent in the fields of music, fine arts, and traditional crafts, ensuring that the country's rich cultural heritage is preserved through high-standard academic training.
