President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the "Zangilan City Park Hotel" in the city of Zangilan on May 10, marking another significant step in the ongoing reconstruction and development of the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Kamil Aliyev, the project manager of "PMD Group" LLC, briefed the head of state on the technical details of the upcoming construction. It was reported that the hotel complex will occupy an area of 1.5 hectares and will feature 116 rooms with a total capacity to accommodate 241 guests. The facility will include a restaurant, multifunctional meeting rooms, a gym, and an outdoor terrace. The project is expected to create approximately 120 new jobs for the local population.
The construction of modern hospitality infrastructure in Zangilan is a key component of the "Great Return" program, aimed at the comprehensive revitalization of Azerbaijan's liberated territories. Zangilan, located within the East Zangazur economic region, is being developed as a strategic transport and tourism hub, supported by the recently inaugurated Zangilan International Airport and various "smart city" initiatives designed to integrate the region into the national and international economy.
