Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a meeting with residents in the village of Boyuk Galadarasi in the Shusha district.
The head of state emphasized that despite the hardships endured, the Azerbaijani people did not bow, maintained their resolve, and lived with the hope that the day would come when they would return to their native lands:
"Over the past years—since 2003—in my numerous meetings with former internally displaced persons, both during the occupation and after our Victory, I have become convinced once again of how magnificent, dignified, and invincible our people are. You were deprived of your native land for 30 years, but you did not lose hope, you did not break your will, and you believed that this day would come—and it has arrived."
The village of Boyuk Galadarasi, located in the Shusha district, is currently undergoing extensive restoration and reconstruction efforts as part of the government's "Great Return" program. This initiative aims to facilitate the voluntary and safe repatriation of former internally displaced persons to the liberated territories of Garabagh and East Zangezur, ensuring the revival of local communities and infrastructure in the region.
