President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva have visited the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Tbilisi.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state laid a wreath at the monument as a tribute to the memory of the late leader. The visit took place as part of the official program during the Azerbaijani leadership's trip to the neighboring Republic of Georgia.
The Heydar Aliyev Park, located in the heart of Tbilisi, serves as a symbol of the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia. National Leader Heydar Aliyev played a pivotal role in establishing the modern diplomatic foundations between the two nations, particularly through the initiation of major regional energy and infrastructure projects that continue to connect the South Caucasus to global markets.
