İlham Əliyev Emmanuel Makrona: Dövlətlərarası münasibətlərimizdə yeni dövr başlayır

President Ilham Aliyev has declared that a new era is beginning in interstate relations between Azerbaijan and France. The statement underscores a potential shift in the diplomatic landscape between the two nations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this assessment was conveyed in a congratulatory letter sent by the President of Azerbaijan to his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of France's National Day.

"Our recent telephone conversations and the meeting we held in Copenhagen last year, along with the productive discussions on the current state and future prospects of the Azerbaijan-France agenda, provide a basis to state that a new era has begun in the history of our interstate relations," President Ilham Aliyev noted in his message.

The diplomatic relationship between Baku and Paris has historically been complex, influenced by France's role within the European Union and its involvement in regional mediation processes in the South Caucasus. High-level contacts, such as the meeting in Copenhagen, are viewed by analysts as critical steps in recalibrating bilateral ties, focusing on economic cooperation, energy security, and regional stability in the post-conflict period following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
