The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the world's premier conference on urban issues, focusing on the rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change. Hosting WUF13 in Baku underscores Azerbaijan's growing role as a hub for international diplomacy and its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of urban planning and post-conflict reconstruction. The forum provides a critical platform for stakeholders to share innovative solutions for creating more resilient and inclusive urban environments.
