The northern part of Israel has once again come under fire as the Hezbollah group launched approximately 80 rockets into the territory.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Israeli portal Ynet, that while several rockets were intercepted by defense systems, others impacted in open areas. Local authorities confirmed that multiple rockets struck targets within the city of Kiryat Shmona, causing significant concern in the border region.

This escalation follows the dramatic events of February 28, when the United States and Israel initiated a joint military operation against Iran. The operation resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials. In retaliation, Iran has conducted strikes against Israel and targeted military bases hosting US and allied forces in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.

The current exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel marks a significant intensification of the long-standing conflict along the Blue Line. Hezbollah, a Lebanese-based militant group and political party, is a key part of the regional "Axis of Resistance" and has frequently engaged in cross-border skirmishes. The involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration in the recent operations against Iranian leadership has further reshaped the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East, leading to heightened military readiness across the region.
