Intensive rainfall across Pakistan has caused significant destruction in the country's southwestern regions, leading to a tragic loss of life.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing local reports from the Dawn newspaper, heavy precipitation in the Zhob and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan province caused the roofs of two residential houses to collapse.
Reports indicate that the incident resulted in the deaths of four people, including three children. At least four others sustained injuries of varying severity.
Search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they recovered the bodies of the victims from the rubble. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals via emergency medical services.
Local authorities have issued warnings to the public to exercise caution as the region braces for the possibility of continued rainfall. Pakistan, particularly its southwestern provinces, is frequently vulnerable to extreme weather events, including monsoon-related flooding and structural failures, which often pose severe risks to infrastructure and public safety.
