Hakan Fidan: Hazırda baş verən proseslər bölgənin gələcəyini riskə atır

Current geopolitical processes are putting the future of the region at risk, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated during the opening ceremony of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the minister emphasized the critical role of the forum in addressing global challenges. "Today, the heart of diplomacy beats in Antalya. The processes taking place in the world are being discussed here. We witness crises daily, and these significantly impact global developments," Fidan noted, adding that recent regional events serve as a clear example of these threats and that any achieved ceasefire or peace must be sustainable.

The Foreign Minister further stressed the urgent need to make diplomacy functional again to build a shared future. He remarked that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly expressed concern regarding international indecision. "We now see that some countries only express such concerns when these problems reach their own doorsteps," Fidan said, highlighting that the international community faces vital calls to action toward establishing lasting peace.

The Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) is a high-level gathering of political leaders, diplomats, and academics aimed at addressing international challenges through dialogue. Established as a flagship initiative of Turkey's "Enterprising and Humanitarian Foreign Policy," the forum serves as a platform for regional and global actors to exchange ideas on security, stability, and cooperation. The event underscores the importance of multilateralism in navigating the complexities of the modern geopolitical landscape.
