Haber Global WUF13-ün ikinci günündən reportaj hazırladı

Turkey's "Haber Global" TV channel has produced a comprehensive video report on the second day of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) currently being held in Baku. The report emphasizes the scale of the event, noting that more than 40,000 participants from 182 countries are attending the forum in the capital of Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the media coverage highlighted a significant increase in attendance compared to previous sessions. While WUF12, held in Egypt two years ago, saw 24,000 participants, the Baku forum has nearly doubled that figure. The report characterizes "WUF13" as one of the largest and most prestigious international events ever hosted by Azerbaijan. It also features Turkey's national pavilion, which showcases urban reconstruction efforts following recent earthquakes, including the completion of 455,000 residential units for affected citizens within three years.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Hosting WUF13 underscores Azerbaijan's growing role as a hub for international diplomacy and its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11 regarding sustainable cities and communities. The event provides a platform for world leaders, urban planners, and civil society to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and climate change in the modern era.
