US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine have issued critical statements regarding the progress of ongoing military operations in Iran during a press conference held at the Pentagon.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Secretary Hegseth emphasized that the United States has seized complete military superiority in the theater of operations.
Pete Hegseth noted that American forces have secured absolute control over Iranian airspace:
"We are winning in Iran. We are striking Iran's missile systems continuously, day and night. When Iranians look at the sky, they will only see our and Israel's air forces. We are demonstrating American power in an unshakable manner and will continue to hit targets," the Secretary stated.
The Secretary further added that following the establishment of total airspace control, the military will begin utilizing high-impact munitions. According to reports, Iran's air force has been completely neutralized. Hegseth also addressed losses within the country's senior leadership, stating:
"Iran's high and mid-level leaders, even those responsible for selecting a new leader, have been killed. The Revolutionary Guard has cut off internet access across the country," he added.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine shared technical details of the campaign:
"It has been 103 hours since the start of the operation. Iran's ballistic missile systems and naval capabilities have been selected as primary targets. The number of missile strikes was increased by 20 percent today. We are continuing to advance toward the interior of the country with precision strikes," Caine noted.
In a related development, NATO issued a statement strongly condemning Iran's attempts to target Türkiye. These military actions take place under the administration of US President Donald Trump, who assumed office in January 2025, signaling a significant shift in regional security dynamics and the enforcement of international strategic objectives.
