Filippində 6 bal gücündə zəlzələ baş verib

A powerful 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Samar region of the Philippines on Friday, causing tremors across the area. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing China's Xinhua news agency, the seismic activity was recorded at 06:09 GMT.

The German GFZ Research Centre for Geosciences confirmed the magnitude and timing of the earthquake. Local authorities and emergency services are currently monitoring the situation. As of now, there have been no immediate reports of significant damage to infrastructure or casualties resulting from the natural disaster.

The Philippines is situated along the "Pacific Ring of Fire," a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur. Due to its geographical location, the archipelago frequently experiences seismic activity. Samar, one of the country's major islands, has historically been prone to both tectonic movements and tropical storms, necessitating constant vigilance from the national disaster risk reduction and management councils.
