The Ukrainian military has launched an aerial strike on a facility in Russia's Voronej region, which is reportedly involved in the production of electronic components for tactical missile systems. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operation specifically targeted a site producing critical components for "Iskander" tactical missile systems.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Voronej Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed the incident, stating that five people were killed and dozens were injured. The strikes reportedly caused damage to 10 multi-story apartment buildings and six private residences in the city of Voronej.

Simultaneously, Russian forces have continued their aerial offensive against various regions of Ukraine. On the night of June 23, air raid sirens were activated across Kyiv and several other regions. Zaporojye Governor Ivan Fedorov reported that two people were injured in the region due to Russian strikes, while emergency services in the Sumy region confirmed three injuries. Additionally, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that a woman was wounded during a drone attack on the city.

Reports also indicated that a school building in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporojye region was struck, though no casualties were recorded. These reports from the conflict zone have not been independently verified.

In a separate development, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its "Tu-160" strategic bombers conducted a 16-hour flight over the Barents and Norwegian Seas. The ministry stated that the flights, escorted by "MiG-31" fighter jets, took place near the borders of NATO members Norway and Finland.

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which escalated significantly following the full-scale invasion in February 2022, continues to result in frequent cross-border strikes. Both nations have increasingly utilized long-range drones and missile systems to target military and industrial infrastructure, leading to significant humanitarian and structural consequences in both countries.
