Investigators in the United Kingdom looking into the connections between Prince Andrew and the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein have encountered a significant obstacle.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing The Times, reports that many critical documents have been destroyed due to the expiration of their mandatory retention periods.

The records in question involve flight data from approximately 20 years ago, reflecting Jeffrey Epstein's visits to the United Kingdom along with his associates. It is suspected that Prince Andrew, the brother of King Charles III, utilized military aircraft for meetings with the financier. However, the Royal Air Force (RAF) maintains passenger manifests for only three months before they are deleted. Consequently, it is now impossible to fully reconstruct the movement trajectories of the individuals involved.

On February 19, Prince Andrew was arrested at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. In October 2025, he was stripped of all his titles. Currently, the King's brother faces charges of misconduct in public office and could potentially face a life sentence. The Epstein scandal continues to resonate globally, highlighting the complexities of international investigations involving high-profile figures and the challenges posed by institutional record-keeping protocols.
