Ceyhun Bayramov: İran araşdırma aparacağına söz verib

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stated that the views expressed yesterday by President Ilham Aliyev constitute a clear message regarding regional security. The minister made these remarks during a joint press conference in Baku with his Moldovan counterpart, Mihai Popsoi.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the diplomat addressed the statements made by the head of state during the Security Council meeting on March 5 concerning the drone attack on Nakhchivan.

Jeyhun Bayramov disclosed details of his discussions with Iranian officials: "During a telephone conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister yesterday, we discussed the matter. The Iranian side has promised to conduct a serious investigation into the incident, and we are currently awaiting the results."

The minister further noted that formal diplomatic steps have been taken, including the submission of an official note to the Iranian side. The initiation of the investigation by Tehran is considered a necessary component of the ongoing diplomatic process between the two neighboring nations.

This incident occurs amid a period of heightened regional sensitivity. The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an exclave of Azerbaijan, maintains strategic importance, and any violation of its airspace is treated as a significant security concern. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan continues to prioritize the protection of its sovereign borders and territorial integrity. Consequently, the readiness level of the military forces has been raised to maximum to ensure national stability and respond to any potential threats.
