Ceyhun Bayramov və Hakan Fidan regional vəziyyəti müzakirə etdi

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan of the Republic of Türkiye held a telephone conversation to discuss the current regional situation and security challenges.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Operative Information Center-OMM that during the call, the ministers exchanged views on the existing security environment and rising tensions in the region. They specifically addressed the risks posed by recent events against the backdrop of military escalation and their potential impact on regional stability.

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov condemned the missile attack carried out against the territory of the Republic of Türkiye today and expressed his full support for the brotherly Turkish people. Both parties emphasized that any attacks against neighboring countries and actions targeting the territorial integrity of sovereign states are unacceptable.

The ministers noted that further expansion of military escalation could lead to undesirable consequences. In this regard, they exchanged views on possible steps toward de-escalating tensions and promoting a climate of dialogue. The sides highlighted that the Azerbaijan-Türkiye strategic alliance and brotherly relations are of great importance in the current complex geopolitical conditions, stressing the necessity of continued mutual consultations and coordination on regional issues.

This diplomatic engagement underscores the deep-rooted "One Nation, Two States" philosophy that defines the relationship between Baku and Ankara. Following the Shusha Declaration signed in 2021, the two nations have elevated their ties to a formal strategic alliance, encompassing military, political, and economic cooperation. Such high-level consultations are a regular feature of their bilateral agenda, aimed at ensuring peace and security in the South Caucasus and the broader Middle East region.
