Bayern Munich and France national team center-back Dayot Upamecano has clarified reports regarding the potential transfer of his teammate, Michael Olise, to the Spanish club Real Madrid.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, recent media reports have suggested that the 24-year-old winger is a "priority target" for the Madrid side, with claims that club president Florentino Perez is prepared to pay a significant fee to secure his services.
In an interview with journalist Kerry Hau, Upamecano was asked about the potential transfer of Olise. The defender took a firm stance on his teammate's future. "He is staying here, he is staying here," Upamecano replied with a smile, effectively putting an end to the transfer speculation.
It should be noted that the Bayern Munich leadership has no intention of selling the talented footballer. Michael Olise has been in the spotlight due to his high-level performance this season. Notably, the winger, who made a significant impact during the 2026 World Cup, currently leads the tournament as the top assist provider with five assists, further cementing his status as a key player for both club and country.
