A fire at a pig farm in Liuzhou, located in the southern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China, has resulted in the deaths of five people.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Xinhua news agency, that the incident occurred on Sunday.
According to local fire and rescue services, the blaze has been successfully extinguished. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire, which remains under review.
Agricultural facilities, particularly livestock farms, are subject to strict fire safety regulations in China due to the presence of flammable materials such as feed, bedding, and electrical infrastructure. Industrial accidents of this nature are taken seriously by local authorities, who frequently conduct safety inspections following such tragedies to prevent recurrence in rural agricultural zones.
