A train transporting wheat from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan has departed from the Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a shipment consisting of 14 wagons, totaling 976 tons of wheat, has been dispatched toward the Boyuk Kasik station. From there, the cargo will transit through Georgia before reaching its final destination in Armenia.

This latest shipment is part of a broader pattern of transit operations facilitated through the region. To date, more than 35,000 tons of grain, nearly 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory.

Furthermore, transit data indicates that significant volumes of fuel have also been moved through these routes, including over 14,000 tons of diesel and nearly 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline. The use of Azerbaijani transport infrastructure for such transit highlights the country's strategic role as a transit hub connecting regional markets, adhering to international logistics protocols.
