“If a commitment to peace is made, the two countries can achieve peace in a short period of time,” President Ilham Aliyev stated during a panel discussion titled “Defining the Economic Identity of Eurasia” at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state emphasized that the progress made regarding the peace treaty is now manifesting in practical results. President Ilham Aliyev noted that the objective is to secure a lasting settlement rather than a temporary solution, stating, “What was signed is turning into practical results today. This is not a 5-6 month peace in the future, and naturally, we do not deny that as an independent country, we enjoy this situation.”

The World Economic Forum in Davos serves as a premier global platform where world leaders, business executives, and intellectuals gather to discuss pressing international issues. Azerbaijan has been an active participant in the forum for years, using the platform to highlight its strategic role in regional energy security and its efforts toward establishing long-term stability in the South Caucasus. Following the restoration of its territorial integrity, Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for the normalization of regional relations based on the principles of international law and mutual recognition of sovereignty.
