A fire has broken out in the industrial zone of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), following a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strike.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Al Jazeera, that the incident occurred within the city's industrial district, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.
According to the report, civil defense teams are currently on-site working to extinguish the flames. At present, there is no official information regarding casualties or the extent of the material damage caused by the strike.
Fujairah is strategically significant as one of the seven emirates of the UAE, housing a major multi-purpose port and critical oil storage facilities. The region serves as a vital hub for international shipping and energy logistics, located outside the Strait of Hormuz. Authorities in the UAE have previously emphasized the importance of maintaining security in such industrial zones to ensure the stability of global energy supply chains and regional safety.
