During the opening of the session, the Foreign Minister delivered a message from President Ilham Aliyev to the participants. The session brought together high-level representatives from member states, international organizations, and UN partners to promote dialogue on inclusive growth, social equality, and sustainable development.

A primary outcome of the session was the adoption of the Baku–Bangkok Declaration on promoting social development for all age groups in the Asia-Pacific region. This document reflects a shared commitment to inclusivity and sustainable development, aligning with the ESCAP inclusive development agenda. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's key political messages, emphasizing inclusive development, digital transformation, the green energy transition, regional connectivity, peacebuilding, and South-South cooperation. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is one of the five regional commissions under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Established in 1947, it serves as the most inclusive intergovernmental platform in the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to overcome some of the region's greatest challenges by providing results-oriented projects, technical assistance, and capacity building to member states. Azerbaijan's active role in this session further demonstrates its commitment to multilateral diplomacy and its human-centered development model, which prioritizes inclusive economic growth and equal opportunities as outlined in the "Azerbaijan 2030" national priorities.
