Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for commuters during peak hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.

As of the latest report, heavy vehicle density is being observed at the following locations:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from in front of the Baku Olympic Stadium to the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street;
  • Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, in the direction of the "Koroglu" metro station;
  • The "20 Yanvar" circle;
  • 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
  • Mikayil Mushfig Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards the school-lyceum No. 20;
  • 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC), which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, continuously monitors traffic flow in Baku using an advanced network of cameras and sensors. These systems are designed to optimize traffic light synchronization and provide real-time updates to the public, helping to manage the increasing volume of vehicles in the rapidly expanding capital of Azerbaijan.
