Significant traffic congestion has been observed on several main roads and avenues in Baku. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Digital Development and Transport Agency's Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released an official statement regarding the current situation on the capital's road network.

According to the report, heavy traffic is currently recorded in the following directions of the capital: the Baku–Sumgait highway towards the "20 January" metro station; the 1st lakeside road towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; both the main and auxiliary lanes of Heydar Aliyev Avenue heading towards the city center; the "20 January" circle; Ali Mustafayev Street towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue; Tbilisi Avenue from the "20 January" metro station towards the center; Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street up to the intersection with Azadlyk Avenue; and Yusif Safarov Street heading towards the center.

The ITMC advises drivers to utilize alternative routes where possible and strictly adhere to traffic regulations to ensure safety and minimize further delays. Traffic congestion in Baku often peaks during morning and evening rush hours due to the high density of vehicles entering the capital from surrounding suburban areas and the neighboring city of Sumgait. The government of Azerbaijan continues to implement infrastructure projects, including new bridges and expanded road networks, to alleviate the transport pressure in the metropolitan area.
