Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy but primarily rainless over the coming days, according to the latest forecasts.
The National Hydrometeorological Service informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that fog may be observed in various areas during the night and morning hours. A north-easterly wind is expected to be replaced by a mild north-westerly wind starting from the second half of the day. Temperatures in the capital will range from 3–6°C at night to 8–11°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is projected to rise from 755 mm to 760 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 70–80 percent.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry; however, short-term precipitation is possible in some areas throughout the day. Snow is forecast for mountainous regions, where fog may also occur in specific locations. The western wind is expected to intensify occasionally in certain districts. Regional temperatures are predicted to be 2–7°C at night and 13–18°C during the day, while in mountainous areas, temperatures will fluctuate between 2°C frost and 3°C heat at night, reaching 10–15°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations are typical for the Caspian region during this period, where the interaction between maritime air masses and continental climate patterns often results in rapid changes in wind speed and visibility due to fog.
