Heavy traffic reported on major roads in Baku

Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting commuters during peak hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current road conditions in the capital.

As of the latest report, traffic density is observed in the following locations:

  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, service road, towards the city center;
  • Babek Avenue, towards the city center;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
  • Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
  • Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue.

Baku, as a rapidly developing metropolis, frequently experiences traffic density during morning and evening rush hours due to the high volume of vehicles and ongoing infrastructure modernization projects. The Intelligent Transport Management Center continuously monitors these arterial roads to optimize traffic flow and advises drivers to utilize alternative routes where possible to avoid delays.
