On June 27-28, strong winds are expected in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, and several other regions of Azerbaijan. The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange weather warnings regarding the anticipated conditions.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, an orange alert has been declared for Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as for Mingachevir, Ganja, Aghstafa, Gazakh, Naftalan, Goranboy, Dashkasan, Neftchala, Salyan, Shirvan, Shabran, Khizi, and Gobustan. In these areas, north-westerly winds are forecast to reach speeds between 20.8 and 28.4 meters per second.
For other regions of the country, a yellow alert is in effect, with north-westerly winds expected to reach speeds of 13.9 to 20.7 meters per second.
