A large-scale municipal sanitation campaign was held in Baku on April 11 by the Baku City Executive Power to eliminate the consequences of recent heavy rains and restore the capital's sanitary and aesthetic standards.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Baku City Executive Power that the initiative covered not only the main avenues and streets of the city center but also extended to the streets of various settlements across the capital. Starting from the early morning hours, specialized vehicles from the communal services utilized eco-friendly detergents, safe for plants and animals, to wash down the roadways.
The comprehensive cleaning efforts included washing sidewalks, curbs, lamp posts, railings, and park benches. In addition to residential courtyards and neighborhoods, the windows and storefronts of public catering and commercial facilities along the roadsides were cleaned, ensuring an orderly environment throughout the city. Employees of the Baku City Greening Maintenance Association also participated by washing dust from trees along the roads, performing agrotechnical care, pruning damaged branches, and planting new floral compositions.
Such large-scale sanitation campaigns are a regular part of the capital's urban management strategy to maintain the ecological balance and visual appeal of Azerbaijan's capital. These efforts are particularly crucial following seasonal weather changes to ensure that the city's infrastructure remains clean and functional for both residents and visitors. The Baku City Executive Power frequently coordinates these activities across all administrative districts to uphold the high sanitary standards of the Republic's largest urban center.
