Baku Metro CJSC has announced a revised train schedule in connection with May 9 – Victory over Fascism Day and subsequent non-working days in Azerbaijan. The adjustments are designed to ensure efficient passenger transportation during the holiday period in the capital.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, on May 9 and 11, the interval between trains on the "28 May–Ahmedli" route and in the opposite direction will be 2 minutes and 30 seconds. On May 10, the interval will be set at 3 minutes. The existing movement schedules for the Purple Line, as well as the "Jafar Jabbarli–Khatai" and "Hazi Aslanov–Ahmedli" sections, will remain unchanged. Meanwhile, train movements to and from the "Bakmil" station will follow the Saturday schedule on May 9 and 11, and the Sunday schedule on May 10.

Alongside the operational changes, Baku Metro will strengthen general oversight at all stations, with additional personnel assigned to duty shifts to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic. Reserve trains will also be kept on standby to be launched if demand rises. The Baku Metro, which opened its doors in 1967, remains the backbone of public transport in the capital, facilitating hundreds of thousands of daily commutes. Victory over Fascism Day is a significant public holiday in Azerbaijan, honoring the contributions of the Azerbaijani people to the victory in World War II.
