A new shipment of oil products and transit cargo has been dispatched from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a freight train consisting of 16 railcars, carrying 977 tons of diesel fuel, has departed from the Bilajari station toward the Boyuk Kasik direction.
To date, Azerbaijan has exported nearly 16,000 tons of diesel fuel and approximately 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia, facilitating essential energy resource supplies to the neighboring country.
In addition to Azerbaijani exports, transit operations continue. Today, a shipment originating from Russia and transiting through Azerbaijan is also underway. This cargo includes 355 tons of wheat (5 railcars), 180 tons of fertilizer (3 railcars), and 138 tons of timber (2 railcars), all destined for the Boyuk Kasik route.
Historical data indicates that transit through Azerbaijan has become a significant logistical corridor for Armenia. Previously, nearly 60,000 tons of grain, 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,414 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 334 tons of timber have been transported from Russia to Armenia via this route.
These logistical operations underscore the ongoing efforts to maintain supply chain stability in the region, with Azerbaijan playing a pivotal role as a transit hub for goods moving between neighboring states.
