On June 17, temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach as high as 35°C, according to the latest forecast from the National Hydrometeorological Service.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will be variably cloudy and predominantly rainless. A north-westerly wind is expected to shift to a south-easterly breeze during the day.
Temperatures in the capital are forecast to range between 19-22°C at night and 29-34°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be 763 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 70-75% at night and 50-60% during the day.
In most regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to remain largely dry; however, intermittent rainfall is anticipated in some mountainous and foothill areas during the second half of the day. There is a possibility of short-term intense precipitation, lightning, and hail in isolated areas. Fog is expected in some locations during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate westerly wind.
Temperatures in the regions are projected to reach 19-22°C at night and 30-35°C during the day. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures will range from 7-12°C, while daytime highs will reach 16-20°C, with some areas seeing temperatures between 23-28°C.
The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, is responsible for monitoring these climatic shifts. Such temperature fluctuations are common during the summer season in Azerbaijan, as the country experiences diverse climatic zones ranging from subtropical to alpine, necessitating regular updates for public safety and agricultural planning.
