The “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Employment Strategy for 2026–2030” has been officially approved. The Action Plan outlines the strategic roadmap for labor market development in the country over the next four years.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to formalize this initiative, marking a significant step in the government's ongoing efforts to modernize the national labor sector.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the measures outlined in the plan. The Ministry must report annually to the President on the progress of these initiatives. Furthermore, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication is mandated to conduct monitoring and evaluation of the plan's execution based on orders from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to resolve all issues arising from this decree.
This new strategy is part of Azerbaijan's broader socio-economic development agenda, which aims to enhance human capital, improve workforce skills, and align the labor market with the demands of a modern, diversified economy.
