Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be intermittently rainy on February 4, with a high probability of intensification in certain areas.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a warning regarding the upcoming atmospheric changes. According to the forecast, a strong north-west wind will prevail throughout the day across the capital and surrounding regions.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, precipitation is expected to take the form of both rain and sleet, with snow possible in higher altitudes. Fog is anticipated in various districts, and the western wind is projected to strengthen periodically. Temperatures in the regions will range from 2-6°C at night to 7-12°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see temperatures fluctuating between -2°C and +3°C.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric processes to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations in February are characteristic of the Caspian region's climate, often requiring increased caution for maritime operations and transport infrastructure due to visibility and wind speed changes.
